This picturesque little white village is built on a cliff over the estuary of the poetically named river Umm er Rbia (Mother Spring). It was previously occupied by the Portuguese and their architecture lives on. A walk on the well preserved ramparts around the 16th century Portuguese Kasbah is a great way to start exploring. The Moroccan medina is delightful and the best views are from the bridge on the north eastern side of the Medina.
